Vidéotron unveils new visual identity

August 10, 2004 - Press Release

Montréal, August 11, 2004 - Robert Dépatie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vidéotron, unveiled the company's new logo to employees this morning. Mr. Dépatie noted that Vidéotron's visual identity is a key component of its image, a reflection of the organization's character, values and vision that contributes to its success.

The new logo does provide a striking representation of Vidéotron's values, its new personality and its vision, which is focused on delivering the best possible customer experience through state-of-the-art products supported by outstanding customer relations.

The meaning of the logo
The moving arrow symbolizes Vidéotron's determination to move ahead and expand its market dominance by maintaining its leadership in entertainment and telecommunications, particularly as it prepares to launch a residential Voice over IP service in the first half of 2005. The arrow also expresses the company's dynamism and forward-looking vision. At the same time, the rotation of the V in Vidéotron on its side to form the arrow and the use of Vidéotron's traditional colours demonstrates the linkage with the company's history.
