Vidéotron adds 10 timeshifting channels

October 20, 2004 - Press Release

Montréal, October 21, 2004 – Vidéotron has announced that it is introducing two new timeshifting packages. To give customers a taste of the many advantages of timeshifting, the channels will be offered free of charge to all illico subscribers from today until November 30. The first package includes six Canadian channels, five from Western Canada (stations affiliated with TVA on channel 401, SRC 400, CBC 402, Global 404 and CTV 403) and one from Newfoundland (NTV 405). The other package includes four US network affiliates from Seattle (ABC 420, NBC 421, CBS 422 and FOX 423).

Subscribers can watch or repeat their favourite shows with greater flexibility
With timeshifting, illico customers can pick up network affiliates in other time zones and watch many of their favourite shows (newscasts, television series and other programs) three hours later on the West Coast stations (Vancouver and Seattle) or one and a half hours earlier on the Newfoundland station.

The new packages, combined with illico's existing selection of flexible digital packages, demonstrate Vidéotron's continued leadership in home entertainment.
