Montréal, March 16, 2011 – On March 19 at 7 p.m., live from Montréal, Indigo will carry an InterBox Gala featuring a top-class card, including the main event between IBF Super Middleweight champion Lucian Bute (27-0-0, 22 KOs) and Irish challenger Brian Magee (34-3-1, 24 KOs).
This will be the 7th title defence for Bute. The Québec boxer of Romanian origin is undefeated since the beginning of his professional career. Bute will be facing a lefty for the first time since 2007.
In the semi-final spot, NABO champ Renan St Juste (22-2-1, 15 KOs) will take on Colombia's Alejandro Berrio (35-5, 29 KOs) in what promises to be a gripping clash. A victory by St-Juste in the eagerly awaited battle between the heavy hitters would bring him one step closer to a major fight by year's end. Berrio is also well known to local boxing fans: in 2007, the former IBF Super Middleweight title-holder put up a tough fight against Lucian Bute before losing by a TKO in the 11th round, ushering in the beginning of Bute's reign as the IBF world champion.
There will be six other events on the fight card, including four involving Québec fighters. Québec boxing fans will not want to miss the exciting line-up.
