Canal Vox to carry Domenica Italiana special live

May 20, 2004 - Press Release

Montréal, May 21, 2004 – Canal Vox (cable 9) will carry a Domenica Italiana special live on Sunday, May 23, from 1:55 to 5:00 p.m. The program, produced by the Italian public broadcaster RAI International, will be devoted to Canada's Italian community.

The Domenica Italiana (Italian Sunday) special will be beamed around the world, in Italian, from the Centre Leonardo da Vinci in Saint-Léonard and the Toronto Centre for the Arts. Italian community leaders in Montréal and Toronto and representatives of other ethnic communities will appear, and Montrealers and Torontonians of Italian nationality or origin will attend as members of the audience.

Since RAI International is not available in Montréal, the network has asked Canal Vox to carry the special for the benefit of Montréal's Italian community. Canal Vox reaches over 900,000 households in the greater Montréal area, home to approximately 250,000 residents of Italian origin.
