Exactly one year ago, Videotron announced plans to become the first telecommunications company in Canada to electrify 100% of its vehicle fleet.
Today, we are taking another step towards achieving that objective by installing charging stations supported by an extensive electric power infrastructure and a generator as part of a Québec government pilot project. These facilities will make it possible to fully electrify the vehicle fleet a Videotron’s Frontenac St. offices in Montréal.
In the coming months, we will be a living laboratory as we become the first big company to operate and maintain a fleet of electric-powered vehicles. Our people will experiment and innovate in order to get the most out of this new way of doing things.
The learnings from our experience in this pilot project will help other major companies embark on the path to a healthier future.
