Montréal, March 9, 2010 – Following the earthquake that devastated Chile on February 27, 2010, Videotron is offering its residential telephone service subscribers free long-distance calling to the country. To support customers who are personally affected by this disaster, calls to Chile made between March 8 and 31 will not be billed, said Robert Dépatie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Videotron. The move will make it a little easier for Videotron customers to stay in touch with loved ones in Chile.
Our hearts go out to the people of Chile and to Quebecers with ties to Chile, said Robert Dépatie. We hope to be able to support the massive rebuilding effort.
