Montréal, June 7, 2017 – Videotron's new editorial platform, the Collective, went live today. The Québec telecommunications leader wants to start a conversation with its customers by making captivating content available in innovative formats. The Collective leverages Videotron's technological expertise to highlight its brand and its partnerships.
Creating memorable experiences for our customers with our products and technologies is a key priority, said Julie Brault, Vice President, Branding & Omnichannel Digital Strategy. That is what we have been doing with various initiatives in the past few months and now online with the Videotron Collective.
Videotron x Milk & Bone
The first chapter in the story of the Collective was written on May 16, when 300 spectators had a chance to take in an intimate concert by Milk & Bone at Bain Mathieu in Montréal. The concert by the Montréal duo was filmed with 4K cameras, webcast live on Facebook, and is now available on the Videotron Collective, accompanied by photos, an interview with the musicians and a video documentary of the event. For this first project, Videotron teamed up with Sony XPERIA. As a result of the technological partnership, an exclusive track from Milk & Bone can be heard on virtual reality headsets at Videotron locations.
Coming up next
Other Videotron Collective events will be organized on a similar basis throughout the year. In the coming months, watch for the Zoofest comedy festival, the Jackalope action sports event and the new original series l'Académie, exclusively on Club illico.
Members of the public can follow Videotron on Facebook and Instagram to make sure they don't miss the Collective's next initiatives.
