Videotron begins testing new 3.75G mobile network

Montréal, May 7, 2010 – Videotron announces that it is beginning the last phase of testing of its new 3.75G Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) network today. The tests designed to ensure service quality and refine all facets of the customer experience will continue until the network goes into operation. An experienced in-house team has been assigned to carry out the final tests of the system's operational implementation and technological reliability.

“Consumers know that we are committed to maintaining superior-quality service for our customers,” said Robert Dépatie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Videotron. “This is why we are already beginning extensive testing, with about a hundred selected individuals, of the entire customer experience, covering both services and products.”

Build-out of the AWS network is progressing quickly. Videotron has chosen a number of locations across Québec for the tests and will use the process to review all its planned mobile services and the benefits it will offer its future mobile customers.

In view of the confidential nature of the testing, the Company will give no interviews on this subject.
