Montréal, January 21, 2011 – Daniel Proulx, Senior Vice President, Engineering of Videotron, is pleased to announce the appointment of Serge Legris to the position of Vice President, Engineering – Wireless Access.
Serge will be responsible for continuing the roll-out of Videotron's wireless access network and coordinating operations with Engineering and other departments. With the Market Development department and other divisions of Engineering, he will elaborate strategies to develop and evolve mobile access technologies at Videotron.
Serge has a Bachelor of Engineering degree and more than 20 years of experience in technology-related positions, including COO and Vice President, Marketing & Operations. He has worked at SR Telecom, InCode Telecom, Rogers, Bell and other companies. Serge is a veteran manager with extensive experience in WiMax and the deployment of advanced technologies. In the course of his career, he has steered strategic projects to completion and managed teams working on major implementation projects in Canada and abroad.
