Montréal, November 22, 2011 Videotron announces that it will add the RDS2 sports channel to the illico TV channel line-up and four new sports channels to illico mobile as of November 23, 2011. RDS2 carries a wide range of programming for sports fans, including baseball, curling, American and Canadian football, and NASCAR races. It will be available on illico TV in standard and high-definition (HD) formats.
Expanded sports content
RDS2 adds 1,500 hours of live content, much of it exclusive, to Videotron's already extensive selection of sports channels. With RDS2 and TVA Sports, launched in the fall, Videotron customers can now follow sports of all kinds and keep up with their favourite teams and players on more than 25 channels, many of them in HD.
More sports on illico mobile
Videotron also announces that RDS, RDS2, TSN and TSN2 are coming to illico mobile as well. All four sports channels will be available live, giving Videotron's mobile customers access to their favourite sports content when they want, where they want.
RDS2 will be available as of November 23 on channels 161 (standard) and 761 (HD) as part of several pre-assembled packages and all Custom packages.
