Canadiens in 3D on HD television sets

Montréal, December 9, 2010 — Videotron will air the CBC Hockey Night in Canada broadcast of the game between the Montréal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs live at 7 p.m., December 11 in 3D. The 3D viewing experience will be available not only to customers equipped with a 3D television set but, exclusively on Videotron, also to customers with a regular HD TV set. All Videotron customers who have an HD set-top box will therefore be able to watch the game in 3D in their living rooms.

To see the game in 3D, customers who own a regular HD television set can buy red/cyan 3D glasses, available in plastic frames at Videotron stores and counters. Videotron customers who own a 3D television set must use the glasses that came with their TV.

Two other hockey games in 3D in 2011
Videotron has announced that it will also carry the 2011 Winter Classic and Heritage Classic in 3D: hockey fans will be able to enjoy the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals on January 1, and the game between the Montréal Canadiens and Calgary Flames on February 20, in every dimension.

Subscribers to Videotron's HD service will be able to tune in Hockey Night in Canada in 3D on channel 802 on a regular HD television set or on channel 801 on a 3D television set.


3D on demand starting December 15
Videotron is also offering movies on demand in 3D. Customers equipped with either a 3D television set or a regular HD set will be able to watch A Christmas Carol in 3D starting December 15, and Step Up 3 in 3D as of December 21, any time of day or night.
