30 years later on Indigo: Relive Queen's legendary concert at the Montréal Forum

November 23, 2011 - Press Release

Montréal, November 23, 2011 – On November 25, 1981, more than 18,000 pumped-up rock fans headed to the Montréal Forum for the concert of a lifetime: the band Queen, headed by legendary frontman Freddy Mercury, was in Montréal for what would be an unforgettable show. At 8 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011, 30 years to the day after the event, fans will be able to relive that memorable experience from front-row seats when Indigo broadcasts Queen: Rock Montreal!

In 1981, with the song Under Pressure at the top of the charts, Queen made a stop in Montréal after a two-year tour of Asia and Latin America and put on a timeless performance for their legions of adoring fans. The historic, sold-out show was the first rock concert in the world to be recorded on 35 mm film. The 1 hour, 36 minute tape includes all of Queen's big hits. The original has been digitally remastered and the sound remixed to produce a concert movie of excellent quality.

Queen: Rock Montreal! can be ordered as of today for $8.99 ($9.99 in HD).
