22nd FrancoFolies Festival: Sway to the rhythm of French music, courtesy of Videotron

Montréal, May 31, 2010 – For the fifth consecutive year, Videotron is inviting music-lovers to rock to the beat of the FrancoFolies. As official sponsor of the festival's 22nd edition, Videotron is pleased to give festivalgoers an opportunity to experience new Francophone music in the streets of Montréal from June 10 to 19.

Once again, Videotron will have a prominent on-site presence, sponsoring a stage for new artists and offering exciting exclusive activities. Visitors to the Monde urbain Vidéotron will have a chance to discover new bands and artists, watch the taping of Mes Francos, broadcasted live on VOX, and find out about Videotron's interactive products. Videotron's website, and its Francos section, will also be interactive, providing a wealth of information on the shows, a new photo activity and MC Gilles' blog. AT THE FRANCOFOLIES SITE
Studio Videotron
At Studio Videotron, part of the Monde urbain Videotron, festivalgoers can relive the musical past and become part of the picture by having their photo taken in the retro musical genre of their choice. Visitors will be able to pick up their portrait on the videotron.com/francos site starting June 10 and use the editing and sharing functionalities to share their new look with friends from the Studio Videotron or from home, with one click.

Visitors to Studio Videotron will also be able to take Videotron technology for a test drive. They can try the Videotron experience at the available Internet stations to update their Facebook and Twitter status or watch content on videotron.com/francos.

Scène urbaine Videotron
For fans of electronic music and hip-hop, the Scène urbaine Videotron stage will be back, hosting the Soirées urbaines series at 9 p.m., followed by Nuits urbaines at 11 p.m. Featured artists will include Manu Militari, Omnikrom and Ben l'Oncle Soul.

Info-Francos information stands and Videotron telephone booths
There will be four Info-Francos Vidéotron stands at the site where festivalgoers can get full schedule details and all other Festival info. Visitors will also be able to make free local calls and free long-distance calls between Videotron subscribers at the five Videotron telephone booths on the site.

ON THE WEB
MC Gilles blogs from the fest
This year for the first time, Videotron will present MC Gilles lâché lousse aux Francos. The colourful host and blogger will go behind the scenes at the FrancoFolies and visitors will also be able to participate by responding to his challenges on the web or at the site, sending photos and videos, or taking part in MC Gilles' interviews with their favourite artists. The master of the offbeat will have some surprises in store for music-lovers who follow his adventures on the web. MC Gilles' exclusive FrancoFolies blog will be available to the public starting June 2 at videotron.com/francos

ON VOX
VOX: Mes Francos
The program Mes Francos will air on the VOX channel at 7:30 pm. from June 11 to 18. Every day, rising stars on the new music scene as well as big names in Francophone music will drop by to talk about their art and their plans, and to perform for their fans. Festivalgoers can attend the taping of the show at the outdoor FrancoFolies site near the Scène urbaine Videotron, corner Clark St. and De Montigny St. For more information, visit voxtv.ca

Galaxie Francos is back
The Galaxie non-stop music service is going Franco again this year. Since May 9, the Galaxie Francos station (channel 546 for Videotron Digital TV subscribers) has been serving up a continuous mix of artists who will perform at the FrancoFolies this summer, giving fans of French music a foretaste of the June extravaganza to come in the streets of Montréal.
