Montréal, October 21, 2024 – This Wednesday, October 23, Videotron will officially launch illico+, its brand-new unified video streaming service for French speakers across the country, created by the merger of Club illico and Vrai. It is also with great pride that the illico+ brand image, designed in collaboration with Qolab agency, is unveiled today.

In line with its commitment to delivering the best possible customer experience, Videotron is offering an extensive catalogue of more than 8,500 titles on illico+, with over 1,800 additions coming in 2025. The platform will combine the fictional content as well as the specialized, unscripted content that has made Club illico and Vrai’s reputation for years.
“Building on the success of Club illico over the past 10 years, Videotron is strengthening its leadership in French-language entertainment with illico+,” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor. “This new service is sure to please consumers and meet their fast-changing viewing habits. Since the launch of Club illico and Vrai, Quebecor has invested nearly $150 million in more than 220 original Québec productions, many of which have won awards and been sold abroad. illico+ will now be the go-to platform for showcasing Québec talent, both on screen and behind the camera.

Subscribers will also find the best U.S. and international shows on illico+. They will be able to watch series and films from the major American studios, including Paramount, NBCUniversal, Sony, Warner, and Disney. The French versions of Paramount blockbusters such as Transformers One, Smile 2, Mission: Impossible 8, Gladiator II and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, will be available exclusively on illico+ shortly after their theatrical release.

Club illico and Vrai subscribers will be able to start browsing the content on their new streaming platform as of Wednesday, October 23. illico+ will be available via Helix TV, the Helix TV app, and illico terminals. It isn’t necessary to be a Videotron customer to access illico+: the illicoplus.ca website and illico+ app are available across Canada on various streaming devices and smart TVs (Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and soon LG and Samsung).
