Videotron offers newcomers from Ukraine six months of free mobile service

Videotron is reaffirming its support for the Ukrainian community with a gesture of welcome for temporary displaced Ukrainian citizens during their first months in Canada. Starting May 9, newcomers from Ukraine will be offered a free All-Inclusive 20 GB plan for six months to help them stay in touch with family and loved ones. Videotron is also donating 1,000 refurbished mobile devices to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and its partners, to be given to Ukrainian families in need.

In the current situation, Videotron stands with the Ukrainian community and is adding the Ukrainian-language HD news channel Ukraine 24 to its channel line-up. Ukraine 24 is available as of today on illico (#875) and starting March 16 on Helix TV (#383). There will be a free preview of Ukraine 24 for all customers for 30 days and it will then be available in our selection of custom channels to give customers who have family or friends in Ukraine access to news in real time, in their native language.

MAtv showcases emerging Francophone musical talent

Starting Saturday, March 12, at 8 p.m., MAtv will broadcast the quarter-finals and finals of the 28th edition of Ma première Place des Arts, hosted by Olivier Robillard Laveaux. Twenty-four contestants from across Québec—6 singers and 18 singer-songwriters—will perform live from Salle Claude-Léveillée at Place des Arts, under the musical direction of Guillaume Rochon. Produced with the participation of the Société pour l'avancement de la chanson d'expression française (SACEF), the popular event has been a springboard for emerging Francophone music for over 15 years.
