HBO Canada joins Videotron’s high definition entertainment family

MONTRÉAL, October 30, 2008 – Videotron's illico Digital TV subscribers can look forward to a hot month of November programming, thanks to the addition of HBO Canada and the broadcast of cultural events. The awaited HBO Canadian channel will now be available for all illico Digital TV subscribers. Music and comedy fans will be able to watch the performance of the group The Lost Fingers, the fourth edition of the Parlementries and the new One Man Show by Anthony Kavanagh, all broadcast on illico on Demand.

"Videotron is once again proud to be able to offer its customers current, rich and diversified content, throughout Quebec,” states Videotron's Manon Brouillette, Senior Vice-President, Market & Business Strategic Development. “With the addition of HBO Canada, television viewers will have access to a wide range of successfully popular series such as Curb your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Oz and True Blood, and to films like Gia, The Late Shift and If These Walls Could Talk," he adds.

HBO Canada: television series, movies and comedy shows
Starting today, illico Digital TV has added the HBO Canada channel to its content, replacing the MMore channel. illico Digital TV subscribers will be able to enjoy the HBO experience by tuning in station 212 or 712 for high definition. HBO enjoys wide success in the United States, and its Canadian version promises to be just as entertaining.

The chain also offers mini-series, comedy shows and live broadcast events. HBO Canada will round out its offer by presenting Canadian films and series from here. And all Videotron's clients that have The Movie Network included in their illico package will automatically have access to this chain at no additional cost.

Jazzing up the month of November
Following several sold out shows at the Montréal Jazz Festival and in Quebec City, and a Gold Record, Videotron's illico Digital TV subscribers will be able to enjoy the most recent performance of The Lost Fingers, presented at Club Soda. The Quebec group's show will be broadcasted live November 1st on Indigo (channel 301 and 750 in HD for illico Digital TV subcribers) as well as on illico on Demand (channel 900) starting November 3. The event will be available at $19.99 and $21.99 in HD.

Political laughs for the month of November
Comedy fans will be able to watch the fourth edition of the highly-acclaimed show Parlementeries. After an 11-year break, this parody of political life in Quebec written by Pierre Légaré is making a comeback. Daniel Lemire, head of the Parti Misérable du Québec, Yvon Deschamps, premier of Action démagogique Québec and the Parti du blocage québécois offer an unusual show.

The Parlementries show will be available starting November 3 on illico on Demand for $24.99.

Anthony Kavanagh's new show on illico on Demand
The talented and diversified Anthony Kavanagh delivers his One Man Show that deals with the humorous side of the last 5 years of his life and many of the current trends, such as the evolution of life, television series, new technologies and the Internet explosion. Anthony Kavanagh's show will be available from November 21, on illico on Demand's at a cost of $19.99.

With illico Digital TV, Videotron offers more than 350 channels, 36 of which are available in HD, including 18 French-language programs, offering the largest selection of French HD channels in its territory. Videotron is also the only cable company to offer interactive content in high definition with its illico on Demand service.
