Mohamed Drif, Eng. Vice President & Chief Network Officer

Mohamed Drif

As Vice President, Engineering, Networks, Mohamed Drif is responsible for developing, in collaboration with the Research & Development group, the HFC/fibre optic network evolution strategy, based on corporate business objectives, and recommending it to the Chief Technology Officer. Mohamed Drif has also been assigned responsibility for setting up and managing the Engineering Projects Office. He keeps responsibility for design groups and headends.

Since joining Videotron in March 1999 as Supervisor, Fibre Optic Management, Mohamed Drif has been involved in many strategic projects, including the Greater Montréal network modernization program, which he has managed for more than two years. He also contributed to implementing the Fibre to the Neighbourhood architecture that is bringing Videotron customers the power and reliability of fibre optics.

Mohamed Drif previously worked at Axion Cable as Director of Engineering and has also worked in the field of software development in France.

Mohamed Drif holds a State Engineer degree from the University of Oran in Algeria. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications. His expertise in optical networks and headends has helped Videotron develop a reliable, powerful network capable of keeping pace with strong customer growth.
